Manchester United look to reunite with Memphis Depay after former United flop rediscovered his abilities in France.
Former Manchester United player, Memphis Depay has been linked to a move back to England as he enters into the final year of his Lyon contract.
Depay who failed to make his mark the last time he was in the English League has risen so high to have convinced his former side to wanting a reunion with the Dutch.
Having left Old Trafford in 2017, Depay struggled to net only 2 goals in 33 appearances for the Red Devils but has overtime recouped so much that he has 11 goals in 14 games this season for OL, which 4 came from his 4 champions league games.
Meanwhile, Man United still struggling to get back to playing forms would have to battle North London side, Tottenham Hotspur for the 25-year-old’s signature.
Spurs earlier on indicated their interest on the player but Lyon’s sporting director, Juninho has confirmed that Manchester United lead the race.
Tottenham already tabled out £50m for Memphis but might be out-chanced by Memphis’ former side.
“It’s true that Manchester United have a priority to buy back Memphis,” Juninho told OLTV.

Depay struggled for 18-months at Old Trafford and having rediscovered his form is yet to confirm if he would be leaving despite all fingers pointing to his departure.
‘I don’t want to talk about that. I don’t want to talk about rumors that I know nothing about,’ he said. ‘We leave it in the corridors. I am focused on a strong season so far.’ Depay said when asked about his future with OL.
