Amad Diallo completed his move to Old Trafford after spending months with Atlanta since his Man United deal
Amad Diallo has been slammed sanction following moves that connected him to a child trafficking crime.
Young Diallo arrived in Italy back in 2015 from Ivory Coast before making his debut for Atlanta where Man United signed him.
According to reports, the 18-year-old came into Europe via a child trafficking ring which was included five adults.
Although Diallo wasn’t the only one punished for this as his friend who was always mistaken to be his brother has also been served a fine just like Diallo’s.
Hamad Junior Traore and Amad Diallo arrived Italy and quickly made their way into the Serie A with Traore now signed to Empoli while living out with Sassuolo where he moved to on loan.
The young men have both been served a £42k fine each as this won’t affect them playing for their said clubs.
A statement from Italian Football Federation League (FIGC) reads on the issue;
“Committed acts aimed at obtaining false or altered certificates or documents to circumvent the rules on entry into Italy… through reunification with said Ivorian citizens, already residing in Italy, who pretended to be parents of the footballer.”
Man United on the other hand were fully informed of the ongoing investigation before they agreed to still continue to seal a move for Diallo.
Both Diallo and Traore have pleaded guilty to the crime.
