The Norwegian provided an update on the chances of having Pogba, Lindelof and Luke Shaw back in Man United squad before the Burnley game on Tuesday

Man United hope to get on top of the Premier League table for at least until their trip to Anfield when they will face defending Champions; Liverpool.

The trio missed Man United’s 1-0 win against Watford as they were reported sideline due to injuries.

Speaking ahead of the game tomorrow, Solskjaer said; “I hope so,” when asked if the players will be available for the Burnley match.

“I hope all of them for Liverpool anyway,” he continued via the video link.
“I’m not sure if they’ll make the Burnley one, but we have light training tomorrow [Sunday] and we’ll see on Monday.”

With the Burnley match considered important as that would see United 1st placed before the Liverpool game where a draw will be profitable to them as well, Solskjaer added;

“We’re not even halfway through the season yet, I feel that every game in the Premier League is a challenge, is a test.

“Every game gives you a test – Watford today gave us a test; Burnley is one test, Liverpool is another, then you go to Fulham [the following week] which is a different test again. No-one will remember how the league table looked on 12 January 2021.”

Man United managed to come off their Man City loss to triumph over Watford as Solskjaer acknowledged his boys’ efforts.

“We’ve had good momentum, we started well again after the disappointment against City.

“[We] bounced back really well with a win and, of course, we want to build momentum again. If we can get a win on Tuesday then if you can win two games in a row, you go into the next game confident.

“Every game in the Premier League is a chance to build some more confidence.”
