The 28-year-old has since his arrival seen less game time compared to when he was with Porto.
Telles used to the main figure for the Portuguese team and losing him to United didn’t come as a wanted news to Porto but seeing him benched most of the times only saddens.

Jose Mourinho is definitely looking to build a strong team and it’s no wonder he is mostly eyeing players at Old Trafford cause of his relationship with the club.
Having seen Luke Shaw rise to top form since Telles arrived, United believe it’s better to retain the Portuguese.
In response to Roma’s offer, The Red Devils have turned down the loan offer, insisting Telles is staying as he is the closest alternative to Shaw.
Roma has already begun plans of landing an alternative as they sight Palmeiras’ Matias Viña as new left-back.
Same amount they offered for Telles, including add one but this time it’s to purchase the back man instead of a loan.
No agreements have been reached yet but the clubs are likely to come to one end soon.
