The Champions league knock out-stage has just been drawn and luck has interceded for the teams.
The draw which was conducted by 12pm CMT today at Nyon produced the following fixtures.
Manchester City vs Schalke
Guardiola’s men look to extend their Champions league campaign as they are drawn to go up against the German team, Schalke.
With Kelvin De Bryune and Kun Aguero back from injury, Manchester City seems to be prepared already for the fixture.
Atletico Madrid vs Juventus:
Cristano Ronaldo will be meeting his former top-table opponents, Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United vs PSG:
Manchester United’s champions league dream might be coming to an end as they are drawn againt the Paris Champions, PSG.
Looking at the current state of the former Premier league champions, Manchester United might have to forfeit their quest for the Champions league trophy considering the force their opponent has in place.
Tottenham vs Dortmund:
Spurs will have to prove their ability of being the Champions as they prepare to battle the Bundlesliga leaders, Borrussia Dortmund.
Dortmund have been in form since the start of the season, thereby gapping their followers on the league table with reasonable number of points. This might be a hard-nut that Pochettino and his boys have to crack.
Lyon vs Barcelona:
Barcelona will face the French side, Lyon. With 8 points, Lyon made it out of the group stage as the second placed team in the group.
Lyon is put to taste as they prepare to face the Spanish Giant, Barcelona.
Barcelona are very serious with their goal of being crowned the Champions League winners the winner this season and this would mean much work for Le Gones.
Roma vs Porto
Porto really impressed their fans during the group stage, drawing just one match and winning the rest.
Although it is rumored that the group D wasn’t tough and that it is why Porto produced such a pleasant Result.
Porto will have to take advantage of this opportunity and prove their doubters wrong.
But will Roma be that easy as an opponent?
I don’t think so!
Ajax vs Real Madrid:
Ajax seems like a threat to the defending Champions, Real Madrid.
Drawing each of their match with the German Champions, Bayern Munich, Ajax qualified the knock-out stage as the second team after Bayern Munich.
Will Real Madrid get off the train on this stage or will they crush Lyon and advance to the next stage.
Liverpool vs Bayern:
The German force, Bayern Munich will face the team considered as having the most dreadful attacking force in Europe.
Managed by Klopp, Liverpool pose as a great threat to Bayern’s hope for the Champions league.
