Fabrizio Romano reports that Donny Van de Beek has been scouted for many months and he’s appreciated by the board and by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer too.
The club is “Monitoring him” and his situation at the club. The Dutcht player is on the radar of United’s targets but has not made any official bid to Ajax.
The player had been linked to a move to Real Madrid, Tottenhham and Barcelona, but now Barcelona denied any contact to sign him. According to Romano.
Reports has it that the midfielder would love to join the Premier League but he’s now waiting for an official bid after clubs have contacted his agents last weeks.
Fabrizio confirmed that Ajax will let him leave if any club will match the price tag of his, around €40M.
United has not signed any player this summer after missing on Jadon Sancho. They are now monitoring the situations of Van de Beek at Ajax.
Van de Beek was left out of Ajax’s squad for the Dutch champions’ friendly with Eintracht Frankfurt, with a transfer potentially imminent.
Sky sports reports Van de Beek is nearing a move away from Ajax, with Manchester United, who have scouted him extensively, one of several interested parties, and that is why he did not take part in the warm-up match.
It is understood that Van de Beek will consider a move to the Premier League, as Sky Sports News reported in January, but Ajax have yet to receive any formal offers from any club this summer.
