Marcelo Speaks Up On ‘Exit Plans’

Real Madrid full-back, Marcelo Vieira da Silva Junior has recently dismissed every rumor linking him to Real Madrid exit plans.

Following Ronaldo’s comment of wishing to have his former team-mate, Marcelo play along with him at Allianz Stadium in Juve shirt, Marcelo has decided to clear the air concerning the issue.

The Brazilian joined Real Madrid from his country based team, Fluminense and has really pleased both Madrid fans and the management since 2007.

Despite not been able to score more than 4 league goals per season in Real Madrid, Marcelo has been an integral part of Los Blancos.

With exit of their most valued asset, Madrid seems to have been on the verge of collapsing considering the fact that Ronaldo left and the team’s results turned sour for the fans and the club as a whole.

Weeks later it was all over the media that some players wants to leave the club as well as the Lopetegui sack saga that ushered in his assistant, Santiago Solari into the management seat.

Among the players that were rumored to wanting to leave the club was Marcelo.

Marcelo been a person that hates to be looked at as a Cameleon has recently shared to the public that he has no plans of leaving Santiago Bernabeu.

The 30 year old told Club del Deportista that all that he does in the team is to assure his contract extension.

“It’s never entered my mind to leave and look for another option,” Marcelo told Club del Deportista.

“I have always done everything possible to stay at Real Madrid and I’ve never thought about playing time.

“If I had 15 minutes in every game, I’d give everything in those 15 minutes to play more and win more.”- Marcelo said.

The player went on to share how he felt when he got Real Madrid’s contract while at Fluminense.

Marcelo said –

“The move all happened very quickly. At first I thought it was a joke,” Marcelo said.

“I always saw Madrid as a huge club. Then all of a sudden I was part of a team with players I had only seen on television or in video games.

“It was pretty amazing.”

Marcelo have really proved to the fans that he is equall to the task he is faced with at Real Madrid and is not ready to part ways with the club anytime soon.

There are also rumors linking team-mate, Keylor Navas to Premier league clubs likewise Alarcon Isco.

We just hope that the team do not collapse.


Meanwhile the team are sitting on the fourth position of the league table and preparing to battle the Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas occupants, Rayo Vallecano.

Rayo, seems to be tied down on relegation zone and we will just watch to see if Madrid will add more salt to the injury.
