Arsenal Legend and Defender Martin Keown has come out to rain praises on 19-year-old Bukayo Saka, after the youngster missed his penalty for England against Italy.
Keown Said: “England conceded after Shaw’s opener and needed to show character to get back into the game.
“Gareth Southgate’s decision to bring him in over his competition for that right-sided position justifies his quality. It’s a shame he missed his pen.”
“The pressure was on Southgate’s players during the penalty shootout, but Saka didn’t hide. He stood up, and attempted the penalty just like any other class player would do”
“He’s a brave young kid with a bright future ahead of him” He added.
Bukayo Saka has made eight appearances for the England team and is not moved by anything that comes his way.
The Arsenal youngster, although devastated is now looking forward to the new season which start 13 August with Arsenal.
