Both Chilwell and Mount booked a top spot in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over the Portuguese side.
Chelsea ended the night with a super win advantage against FC Porto.
Mason Mount‘s magical turn upon receiving a pass from Jorginho gave him enough space to finish off and handed Chelsea the desired lead.
With five minutes left on the normal time, Chilwell was seen rounding the keeper to net home a sealing goal.
Speaking of how amazed he was on his fellow English man’s composure towards his goal, Mount stated;
‘I just said to him then after the game, brilliant composure from him,’ said Mount.

‘I didn’t expect it to be fair, I thought he was going to shoot once he got past the defender and he was one on one, I thought he’d try outside of the left foot.
‘As I saw him take the touch and go past, I was thinking wow, he’s going to put this in.
‘A brilliant finish and yeah I’m very happy for him as well to get his first Champions League goal.’
But not just was Chilwell’s goal of a standard trait, Mason Mount’s goal was also another superb goal to remember the night for.
Speaking on his goal, Mount said; ‘It’s very important to me. I’ve had a lot of games in the Champions League over the two seasons and hadn’t scored until tonight.
‘It was in my mind as I turned, just to get the shot off and try and get it on target. Happily for me it went in the bottom corner.
‘I haven’t seen it back but I feel like it was quite a fluid move, obviously Jorgi’s pass to me and then a turn and finish. It’s an important goal for me, first Champions League goal and it was in a big game.’
