Both Lukaku and Erling Haaland are linked to a move to Chelsea but official bids are yet to be submitted
Hunt to land a top striker has been considered a priority for Blues with Lukaku and Haaland likely to be moving to London.
Lukaku’s impressive form since joining Everton has kept Chelsea on his radar for a long time now.
According to the Belgian, he almost rejoined the Blues from Everton but then suddenly Man United came knocking and he ditched Chelsea.

His move to the Serie A helped blossom his career the more, making him one of the most wanted strikers in Europe.
In his 88 appearances for the Nerazzurris, the 27-year-old has netted 61 goals.
On the other hand is Haaland who is seen his transfer marker value raised very high since he announced of his arrival from Salzburg with back to back goals for Borussia Dortmund.
The Norwegian has 49 goals across 53 appearances for Borussia Dortmund and is also wanted by Barcelona, Real Madrid and Man United.
But it appears his agent is no where near making things easy for the deal after his outrageous demands which could rank up to €300m for the 20-year-old.
An unfamiliar for Chelsea’s transfer list is actually now in and ranking high and it’s PSG’s Kylian Mbappe whose contract expires next year.
The Frenchman has refused to extend his stay at the club despite booking a Semi Finals spot at the current UCL campaign.
According to transfer expert Ian McGarry , Thomas Tuchel has written off chances of landing Erling Haaland after the board considered him too expensive to purchase.
McGarry revealed, Tuchel would prefer having Mbappe and Lukaku at his squad that landing the Norwegian.
“Tuchel prefers the playing style of Romelu Lukaku, and also Kylian Mbappe, although Mbappe wants to go to Real Madrid,” McGarry said.
“And there certainly is a possibility that Sergio Aguero may well become the preferred candidate, given that he is on a free transfer, and has that ability, as long as he stays fit, to get in behind defences and go on on one.”
He continued: “It is our information that Chelsea will prioritise the signing of a striker in the next window, and by that I mean an actual No 9, something they are slightly short of in terms of strikers who have achieved goal tallies which are expected of a club who can challenge for major trophies.
“So, is it going to be Erling Haaland? Well, our information coming from sources who are very senior at the club is that Haaland is just basically too expensive.
“Remember that Chelsea spent £230million on players in the last 18 months.
“Haaland would cost around €150m in transfer fee, and then you’ve got his wages to include, and also a commission for both Mino Raiola his agent and his father Alf-Inge Haaland, which could take the entire package over the course of the five-year contract to somewhere between £350m or £400m.
“So you’re looking at twice the budget that Chelsea paid for five new players in the last 12 months for one single player.”
