Manchester United once again lost tonight as they failed to hold onto what had presented itself as a lost time glory against Sheffield United.
Man United visited Sheffield United hoping for a 3 points after 90minutes of play but The Blades turned out a surprise to The Red Devils.
The newly promoted side started the game in style as they took on the early lead during the 19th minute when Fleck managed to locate the back of De Gea net.
While the United fought to recoup, Sheffield United extended their lead to 2-0 after the game goal opener, J. Fleck provided his French teammate, Lys Mousset a wonderful assist during the early minutes of the second half.
Into the 70th minutes, with 20 minutes left to battle, the Red Devil’s appeared to have recovered from slumber.
Young kid Williams restored hope to his side when he singlehandedly netted United’s first goal of the game.
A wake up call for Rashford who provided an assist to former academy boy, Mason Greenwood just 5 minutes after their first goal.
While Sheffield United fought to get back from the shock, Rashford extended his side’s late time recovery when he converted Daniel James assist.
Manchester United are now 1 goal ahead from 2 goals down, that sweet smell of late time victory and recovery was perceived all over the stadium but with little knowledge that it was not gonna last long.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was still celebrating getting past the shock of losing another game while fighting to get back into the top half of the table.
Boom!!! came that displeasing shout from The Blades’ supporters stand.
Ole Gunnar’s eyes indeed spelt out what went on in that systems of his as he pondered how possible it was for McBurnie to have scored when his[Ole] boys seemed to have taken over the game.
McBurnie’s goal should be considered the most displeasing goal of the week as the Leeds born striker stole the Red Devils’ joy just when they thought it has been secured.
Manchester United would have to deal with the pressure of letting Ole Gunnar go or continue in the woeful form.
Sheffield United sits on the 6th place while the Red Devils wander in at the 9th place with few points from relegation zone.
Not really a good season for United as they risk being relegated while been under the command of one of their owns, similar thing that had happened while Ferguson was in charge years back.
