McTominay to feature against Watford after missing 13-games amid injury

Manchester United midfielder, Scott McTominay sets to return to action after missing out 13 games through injury.

The Scottish international last featured for the Red Devils when they secured 3 points against Newcastle United but unfortunately, Knee ligament damage suffered by the youngster had to see him off the pitch.

With several games already gone past without the 23-year-old, Scott was quick to recover prior to the expected date of his recovery as assumptions were his return would likely be around the Spring.

Although, he was fit to play against last night Europa League opponents, Club Brugge after training with the squad that drew 1-1 with the Belgian side. Ole Solskjaer decided he isn’t risking the starlet yet.

“I think he might be in the squad, Scott had a rest day today, so let’s see how he is tomorrow.” Solskjaer told reporters after the clash with Club Brugge.

“I’m not surprised [he’s back so soon] because that’s the type he is” Ole continued as he applauded the Scott’s recovery strength.

“He’s a physical specimen, he’s a leader. He never shirks a tackle and he brings everyone with him. He can sit with Nemanja [Matic] and Fred or he could be one of the runners in midfield.

“Talking about that here today, we don’t really make enough runs past the striker. Scott used to be a striker so he’s used to being in the box.”

The Red Devils prepare to host Hertfordshire based side, Watford while they still have their eyes sharply locked on to the top four position, after a 2-0 win against Chelsea increased their chances of heading into next season UEFA Champions League campaign.

Back at the injury room is Paul Pogba, still battling with niggling ankle problem, but while his return is very much hoped for, Scott’s recovery will definitely serve as a boost to the squad.
