The German’s future has been uncertain since the news of the Fenerbahce links broke with Mikel Arteta stating Arsenal will only know what to do with Ozil after the January window
Ozil is currently expected to make a move out of Emirates Stadium this month but it’s been unknown where he would be heading to with DC United strongly linked alongside Fenerbahce.
With his contract set to run out by the mid period of the current year, Arsenal are already in search of an alternative, coupled with the presence of Emile Smith Rowe who has also been good in the position.
In the midst of the uncertainty, the former Madridsta dropped a clear hint of where he is heading to from Arsenal.
In a Q&A he held on his twitter page, the playmaker asked that fans throw him questions which he will be honest with answers.
Then a question came, asking which was his favorite moment in Arsenal shirt, and Ozil replied saying; “The moment I took off the Arsenal shirt and put on the Fenerbahçe shirt.”
It’s clearer now that Mesut would be an Efsane in weeks if not days time as reports disclose he already is in talks for a contract with the new side.
But according to speculations, Arteta still finds it hard to let go of Ozil since he is yet to land a replacement as Smith Rowe can’t handle the position alone yet.
Gunners failed to land Lyon’s Houssem Aouar during the previous window and are yet to return to the Frenchman’s pursuit as they instead landed former Atletico’s Thomas Partey.
Isco is linked to a possible Emirates Stadium move but official talks are yet to begin for the Madrid man.
