Keylor Navas is linked with a possible move to London and Real Madrid seems to be willing to let him go.
Navas joined Los Blancos for 10million euro transfer fee on a 6 years basis.
When he arrived Madrid he was meant to sit on the bench following the presence of Iker Casilas in the team.
A while later, Casilas left and Navas took over, and helping Real Madrid win their 2015/2016 champions league, Navas became the first Costa Rican to participate and win the Champions League.
Navas became the most consistent keeper of the 2015/2016, concieving just 3 goals in 11 appearances( 0 in his first 8). This helped Navas overtake the former Manchester United keeper, Edwin Van der Sar to take the second place in the all time clean sheet list, headed by Jens Lehmann.
Navas was also the first keeper choice when Real Madrid won the 2016/2017 Champions league trophy. Becoming the first Costa rican to have made 100 laliga appearances, helped Navas become a public figure in his home country.
2018/2019 marked Navas’ fifth year with Los Blancos and also the year things might change for the Costa Rican considering the arrival of the Belgian and former Chelsea keeper, Thibaut Courtois. This meant competition for the Costa Rican.
With the exit of the club’s former coach, Zinadine Zidane and also the sack of his successor, Lopetegui. Solari was named the head coach. Navas’ play-time began to decline due to Solari’s preference for Courtois over Navas.
Real Madrid was handed a loss in their last match against CSKA Moscow and Navas wan’t among the squad.
Keylor’s exit plan is no more a rumor. Reports gathered disclosed that Santiago Solari is ready to let the play leave thee team.
Meanwhile Navas’ agent is trying to secure a place for him in the Premier league and Navas is ready to hit the switch. But no Premier League team have been reported to have indicated interest, but we believe deals will soon pop up.
