Southgate decides he doesn’t need Abraham in his team at the moment and the Super Eagles of Nigeria see this as an opportunity to lure him back.

According to reports found on The Express, Nigeria National team has contacted Tammy Abraham in an attempt to convince him.

Nigeria wants him to snub playing for England National team and return home as he is still eligible to switch sides.

Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham is yet to feature for his country of birth since he started his football career.

Having netted 4 goals in his last 2 games for Chelsea Abraham is bound to doing more, as he has earlier been reported to be staying back after training to work more.

However, Tammy Abraham has told Nigeria that he won’t give a final response now as he would have to give the offer a good thought before taking it up.

“We will not relent in our quest for good players to pay for the country and win laurels. We will keep talking to good players of Nigerian descent to play for their Fatherland.

“But these kids are very independent-minded. We have been told to wait until April 2020, when he hopes to make a final decision on the matter.

“I told him that he had a better chance of playing regularly for Nigeria than with England, which has a galaxy of strikers.”
