Chelsea manager has picked on N’golo Kanté as yesterday’s top performer as he labels the Frenchman ‘a gift’ to the club

Chelsea materialized a deserved win against Liverpool on Thursday night with the only goal of the game coming from Mason Mount.

Although an earlier goal came through via Timo Werner but was ruled offside after a quick VAR check.

The Blues are now on a 10 game unbeaten streak of which they have conceded just 2 goals and controlled most of the games’ possessions.

Despite being in a bad form, Liverpool were seen likely to cause Chelsea a quick damage but the works of N’golo Kanté from the defensive part of the center can’t be swept under the carpet.

The 29-year-old’s efforts weakened Liverpool’s attacks right from the center of the pitch as this in turn reduced the pressure Chelsea defenders had to face.

Speaking on the World Cup Winner’s contributions last night, Tuchel said to RMC Sport; ‘He [Kante] is a gift. It’s incredible.

‘I’ve never seen anything like this. At training, in games, he never stops. ‘We look at the data on his intensity and he is incredible. He really is a gift.’

‘Tuchel also did not fail to applaud Andreas Christensen who has been replacing injured Thiago Silva pretty well since coming in against Tottenham.
