Ben Chilwell has today become a Blue with the left-back signing a five-year contract.
Ben Chilwell, some minutes ago was announced by Chelsea in their official Social media accounts that The player has joined the club.
A deal worth around £50 Million has been agreed between the two clubs, the player will stay in London untill 2024/25 season.
The player will earn around £8M a year, about £150,000 every week. This will make him the third highest earner in Chelsea after Timo Werner and N’golo Kante.
On his interview, Chilwell said: ‘I am delighted to be joining Chelsea at this very exciting time for the club. I’m looking forward to being a part of this young, dynamic squad led by Frank Lampard as we challenge for honours next season. I can’t wait to get started and hopefully it won’t be long before we’re playing in front of the Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge.’
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia added: ‘We are very pleased to have completed our third addition to our exciting squad for the coming season. Ben brings plenty of top-level experience playing in the Premier League, Champions League and at international level, despite his young age.
‘We are confident Ben will adapt very quickly to being a Chelsea player and with the fixture programme for 2020/21 especially busy, he is a fantastic addition to the squad needed to challenge for honours.’ Marina concluded.
With the Initial signing of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, Chelsea have just added Chilwell to the squad and will on next days add Havertz and free agent, Thiago Silva to the squad.
Emerson Palmeire would have to pave way for the newly signed Chilwell. Emerson is linked with a move to Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan, a deal which is closing on.
Marcos Alonso is part of the squad for Lampard’s Chelsea of 2020/21 season. The player would be a back up for Ben Chilwell.
