Liverpool have completed the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder.
According to sky sports, Liverpool will pay £20m across Thiago’s four-year contract, with the potential for further £5m in add-ons
The Spanish international is expected to wear the No 6 jersey at Anfield
Thiago arrived in the UK on Friday morning, flying in to Manchester from Munich to complete a medical and finalise the deal.
The 29-year-old who just won the Champions league with Bayern is delighted to have joined the club.
In his words: “I think it’s an amazing feeling. I was waiting for this moment for a long time and I am very, very happy to be here,”
“When the years are passing, you are trying to win as much as you can – and when you win, you want to win more. I think this club describes what I am as well; I want to achieve all of the goals, win as many trophies as possible.
“It also [has] this kind of family [feeling] that I need because we [like to] have a very close relationship with the club and I think I will feel this, I will have this feeling, with this club as well…”
Liverpool manager is also incredibly happy to have signed a wonderful player like that in that range of fund.
The player has signed a four years deal with the club and will earn around €200,000 every week at mercy side.
