Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted he made a wrong selection in the 3:1 lost to Chelsea.
Manchester United had their 19-games unbeaten run thrashed by the Blues after double David De Gea’s howler hands Chelsea the final games ticket.
Ole Solskjaer opted to make three relevant changes on the squad that won Crystal Palace, benching Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba as the Norwegian relied on a three-man defense.

Admitting he had one eye on United’s West Ham Premier League clash on Wednesday night during his XI selection, Solskjaer said, “We picked a team to give us a best possible opportunity to go through in the cup and be ready for Wednesday.
“It didn’t work today. We had to change things at half-time when Eric came off but that will stand us in good stead for Wednesday. I picked the team today to go through.”
David De Gea is increasingly become pressurized to keep his place at United after multiple faults has caused the team relevant losses this season, of which he recently added another two to his Black-Book. Poor attempt to stop Olivier Giroud’s side-foot kick and Mason Mount’s low ground shot.
“Everyone has to be perform and everyone has a chance to stake a claim,” Solskjaer added.
“David knows he should have saved the second goal, but that’s done now. It’s hard for a goalkeeper to make amends.

Manchester United have an opportunity to move into the Top-4 after Leicester City lost woefully to Tottenham, leaving the Foxes at same points with the Red Devils who they share same number of points with.
The Red Devils have Leicester to battle; a decisive match after West Ham game.
“The more help we get from others, the better,” Solskjaer said when asked about Leicester’s result.
“But if we do our job on Wednesday we’ll be in a good position before the Leicester game. We want to make sure we’re in a position to win the last game so we can qualify.
“We’ve got to regroup and go again on Wednesday. We have loads of things to learn but we are developing. This team took a knock today but let’s see how the reaction is on Wednesday.”
