Unlike every other person, Sérgio Conceição isn’t comfortable with the fact that Chelsea lost disgracefully to West Brom
Chelsea’s defeat to West Brom remains shocking but to Porto Manager; Sérgio Conceição, it would have been better the Blues won the game.
Conceição believes the loss only did Chelsea more good by bringing to their knowledge every loophole in the current squad.
As this would now make it a tougher task for him to crack should Tuchel properly fill the gaps ahead of their clash tonight.
On returning from injury long spell, Chelsea’s most aged defender, Thiago Silver picked an early red card, reducing Chelsea to 10-men who were later on smashed by a relegation embattled West Brom.
Speaking ahead of the game tonight, Conceição said; “I didn’t consider that match. I [used] previous matches, against Atletico, but not that one. It changes the profile of the squad when they play with other players.

“Tuchel, even when winning, can change the squad whether he’s playing with two men forward or two in midfield. It changes the dynamics. In the last match I watched it but I didn’t present an analysis to our players.
“Before that they had been extremely competent. They have the second best defence in the Champions League, they are a consistent and strong team.
“A defeat is a warning sign and I would have preferred that they won the last game than lost because this situation often rings an alarm. It gets everyone more aware and conscious of possible dangers. I personally don’t like that kind of defeat but it is what it is.”
