Transfer news: Barcelona have once again failed in their attempt to bring back Neymar as PSG reject their £74m plus Coutinho offer.
Barcelona are still interested to get Neymar but might have to source for more funds to accomplish this task as most of their efforts have been rubbished by Paris Saint German.
The Catalans most recent offer to PSG was offering wantaway Brazilian, Philippe Coutinho and an additional £74m for his country man, but PSG Director, Leonardo reportedly rejected out right during his meeting with the representatives Barcelona sent to him.
The sporting director at Camp Nou, Eric Abidal and his assistant, Javier Bordas accompanied by Andre Cury who currently is the club’s Brazil based director were the representatives sent by Barcelona President, Josep Maria Bartomeu who believes Neymar’s return will assure the Champions League return to Camp Nou before his tenure runs out.
Barcelona representatives met with Leonardo Araújo and assistant Angelo Castellazzi in France yesterday been Tuesday and had high hopes of returning to Spain with good news but their high hopes were rubbished by Leonardo who rejected their offer.
Without even a second thought, Leonardo rejected Barcelona Coutinho plus cash offer. The Parisians disclosed that they only want cash just like they paid when they wanted Neymar at first.
This eliminates any plan B’s of getting him back on loan after which they will seal a permanent contract, which PSG had earlier rejected too.
PSG has been disclosed to want their £206m investment on Neymar paid back without a dime deducted from it.
Barcelona representatives also demanded to be given permission to meet with Neymar but the Brazilian was yet to return from his day-off to the South Coast of Portugal.
There are speculations that offering Coutinho, Semedo and Ivan Rakitic plus the £74m would convince the Parisians to let go of Neymar.
But Barcelona do not want to include Nelson Semedo in their hunt for Neymar but Rakitic alone is believed to be capable of making the deal stronger when offered alongside Philippe Coutinho plus the sum.
Be it as it may, Paris Saint German has made it clear that they want nothing other than a one-time cash out deal for the Brazilian just like their days when they signed him from Barcelona.
Meanwhile reports disclosed that Real Madrid representatives were observing the public meeting between the two clubs from afar as they also prepare to launch their own attack for the Brazilian.
But getting Neymar would mean Madrid sell some players as they are also currently incapable of paying the huge sum for Neymar after they spent the early days of the transfer window signing the bigger part of their transfer plans.
