Former Chelsea man, Eden Hazard has been hit by a premature, thigh injury that will have him miss out on the early days of the La liga season.
According to a statement released by the spanish side’s media team, Hazard won’t be able to feature in Los Blancos squad for about three to four weeks as he is expected to fully heal before getting back into the pitch.
“After the tests carried out after training today by the Real Madrid Medical Services, our player Eden Hazard has been diagnosed with a lesion in the anterior rectus of the left thigh.” The Club’s official website stated.
Zidane would be opting to field other options for his side’s opener against Celta Vigo with Gareth Bale seemly ready to replace the Belgian who is faced with an unexpected knock.
According to a Football Journalist, Real Madrid might be using 11 of their old squads as not just Hazard is out on injury, new signings, Rodrygo and Mendy are also yet to recover from injuries picked up during the pre-season tour.
Jovic is a doubtful start for Los Blancos as only Militão stand greater chances of starting among the new signings.
