Real Madrid doesn’t want to be taken by surprises as they plan on a potential Marcelo replacement in order to avoid risking their left flank.
Real Madrid Left-back Marcelo Vieira da Silva is linked to a possible move to Juventus where he would reunite with former teammate, Cristano Ronaldo and Los Blancos does not want to risk the chances of employing an inexperienced left-back due to emergency and as such has began plans of a potential replacement for the Brazilian.
According Don Balon, Real Madrid has long-time been on the trail of David Alaba although the left back has once denied links with Real Madrid.
Los Blancos thinks this is the best time to make moves on landing the Austrian to Santiago Bernabeu but it doesn’t seem that easy considering the fact that Bayern Munich is not ready to loose the 26 year old.
Alaba actually started his football career with Bayern Munich back in 2009 after he was promoted from the team’s under 17 and under 19 to the reserve team.
January 2011 saw Alaba with a loan to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, which he remained with the Die Kraichgauer till the end of the season and then headed back to Allianz Arena where he belonged.
David’s return to Allianz Stadium was a stepping stone to success for him as he was officially named as a regular of The Bavarians and has remained with the team ever since then.
Prices has not been disclosed yet concerning the Madrid’s offer and Alaba is just enjoying his life at Munich but this is football and anything can happen;
Just like Ronaldo surprised the world when he made a dramatic switch to Juventus, David can still join Los Blancos on a surprising move.
How would Alaba look in Real Madrid’s formation?
