The 22-year-old was notable during their Champions League game against Barcelona as his efforts played a significant role in ending Inter Milan’s Camp Nou goal drought.
Currently, Barcelona seems to have paused Lautaro’s deal, as sources disclose the captain at Camp Nou already knows the striker from the national level and doesn’t think they both can fit in on the same pitch.
Secondly and the most importantly is that Lionel doesn’t want anything that would restrict the return of his Brazilian friend, Neymar.
Florentino Perez knows of this and is also a great fan of the Argentine. Plans of ambushing Martinez’s move to Camp Nou are reportedly underway and the Bahía Blanca born might end up at Santiago Bernabeu.
Martinez already has 11 goals for the Nerazzuri in 21 league games and still looking to add more numbers to his tally.
