Chelsea are currently in a form that sees past managers shown the door but it appears as surprise that the Lampard is still at Stamford Bridge
Frank Lampard is considered under threat of losing his job as he has shown results similar to that which had his predecessor’s fired, including the ‘Special One’ Jose Mourinho who is arguably the best manager in the club history.
Since his arrival from Derby County, the 42-year-old has lost 23 and 17 of his 44 games as Chelsea manager, making him the 3rd worst manager since Jose Mourinho left office, with a win rate of 52.4%.
The previous season showed a bit of what the club legend brought with him as manager as he chose youngsters over aged players and his signings have made this claim even stronger.
Having also promoted several teens to the first team tells of Lampard’s vision for the club but currently with things going south, it’s feared the former midfielder won’t get enough time to implement what he has in stock as manager.
Chelsea were on a long unbeaten run after losing to Liverpool on Super Cup as this ran through September to early December when they lost to Everton with Sigurdsson netting the only goal of the game with a 22nd minute penalty.
After which Chelsea have gone to lose 4 more extra game out of their 9 and drawing one with all the loses coming from EPL games, leaving Blues crashing from the top 2 to the 9th place.
The last lost was that which would have had Lampard shown the exit door as it was also similar fixture and time of the season that had Mourinho fired following poor form even better than the current.
One may wonder why Roman Abramovic has all of a sudden delayed in taking his usual action.
Well, close sources to the club revealed the only reason Lampard is still in charge of the Blues is cause of personal desire the club owner has to see Lampard succeed in the club.
Considering his contributions to the club during his playing days, becoming the club’s all time scorer and helping to many trophies, Abramovic fell in love with the former Man City player.
It’s believed Roman Abramovic despite having been linked to discussion with Thomas Tuchel incase of ‘worse case scenarios’ still has hopes that Lampard will turn things around.
