Roman Abramovic is set to invest another huge sum into the transfer market ahead of the summer window
Chelsea could be returning to transfer market for another mega swoop after the club owner reportedly promises to inject £260m into the arrival of several top flight target.
The Blues have been trailing Erling Haaland for a long time now and could be materializing a move for the Norwegian after missing out before his Dortmund move.
According to Mirror, the Russian owner has marked out the 20-year-old as a top priority and would gladly submit a huge sum in order to make sure he joins the Blues.
The former Salzburg man can only be allowed to listen to offer in the coming year, but Abramovic isn’t interested in Chelsea engaging in any transfer battle with other bidder.
Chelsea are now more likely to submit a lucrative offer which would be hard for Dortmund to turn down, considering their business nature in the past.
Speaking on the striker’s future last month, Dortmund CEO believes he would still remain until the end of his contract;
“Haaland gave himself the time to mature into an absolute world-class player in Dortmund. You won’t be able to do that in a year.”
“Because it is clear that if Erling should leave us at some point, then he will only go to an even bigger club, and so many are not considered.
“If you join a club like – just for an example – Real Madrid, you have to be world-class.”
Chelsea have reportedly also submitted offer for Bayern back man, Niklas Sule as they push to convince the German into making a switch.
Sule is yet to decide his future as he is currently pending an extension signing with Bayern and Chelsea could manage to land the defender.
