Ruben Loftus-Cheek expressed his disappointments following the team’s loss to Wolves at Molineux Stadium.
Been the first Premier league start for the 22 year old midfielder, Loftus scored an opener for the match thereby proving that he is not a joke.
But Ruben was not happy after the match due to their lost three points. “you don’t get the same feeling when you score and you lose”. -Cheek said.
Loftus-Cheek’s sixth goal of the season was recorded useless due to their 2-1 defeat to host, Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, who came from 1 goal down to trash The Blues. With goals from Raul Jimenez and Jota respectively.
‘We felt in control first half, 1-0 up and playing some good football,’ Loftus-Cheek added.
‘They came out fast second half and to be fair we were sloppy as a team, and in the Premier League if you’re sloppy, you pay for it. That’s what happened.’
Loftus laments that it was due to his side’s sloppiness that had them lost the match.
‘We train every day as a team, and we should expect to play well, whoever plays in the team. We need to take this loss and turn it around quickly because we have got a tough game on the weekend. We need to analyse the game and move on very quickly.
‘The dressing room is very disappointed. This is a period with a lot of games and points at stake, and these are the games we want to take points from. It wasn’t to be but we pick our heads up and go again.’- He said.
The Blues have more serious business to handle as they prepare to go against the defending Champions, Manchester City.
With such a challenging match ahead, Chelsea should better get to work or get ready to record another loss following City’s seriousness in retaining the title.
