With Tuchel landing the UCL after a short while, the German was handed the opportunity to evaluate the available players before Chelsea would consider bringing in players from the outside.
Loftus-Cheek is one of the names who were out on loan during the previous season after an injury as he needed to recover elsewhere of which he chose the nearby Fulham team.

It isn’t strange to say Loftus-Cheek wants to be in the Chelsea squad and is keen to fight for this spot during this preseason run.
Following his first training under the German manager, the attacking midfielder took to his social media to drop a mind catching message.
“Fighting is a way of life.” 輪 He wrote.
Although this message isn’t directed to Thomas Tuchel it’s clear he has written it in line with wanting to break into Thomas Tuchel’s first team and willingness to do what it takes.
Having had a troubling time at the club, Loftus-Cheek is one of the stars expected to break back into the starting 11.
