Fabregas’ exit plan is out under the sun but Chelsea’s manager, Maurizio Sarri wants the player to remain with the Blues.
Cesc Fabregas’ role at Stamford Bridge has been altered by the arrival of Jorginho and Kovacic, and leaving Cesc with no option than to move out of Stamford Bridge in order to get a proper play-time elsewhere.
Several suitors are already loitering around the Spaniard who’s contract is set to expire by June.
Haven made just five premier league appearance for the Blues, since the 2018/2019 season kicked-off, Fabregas is free to sign a pre-contract deal with a new team in January.
But despite all these, Chelsea’s Manager, Maurizio Sarri still claims that Fabregas’ services is still needed at the club.
The manager said;
“In this position we have only two players, Jorginho and Fabregas, so for me it would be really a problem without Cesc,”
“I want him to stay, I don’t know the final decision of Cesc and the club of course.
“But for me it’s very important and if Cesc will go I think that we need to buy another player, and it’s not easy because, technically, Cesc is a very important player.
“And I think that in the market it’s very difficult to find a player with his characteristics.”
Yes, the manager might be wanting the player to extend his relationship with the club but the club’s policy would be a very big problem for the deal; Chelsea can only offer a year contract to any player that has clocked 30.
The manager had this to say, concerning the policy case;
“It’s a rule and so we have to respect that. As you know very well the big problem is the duration of the new contracts. Because, as you know, over 30 years the club offers only one year to renew.
“And for a player of 31, it’s a big problem to sign a new contract for only one year. So, the problem is only this.”
The team would be facing their lovers, Crystal Palace tomorrow and Fabregas seems not to be among Sarri’s starting 11.
