Manchester United have opened talks with Pogba’s Agent, Mino Raiola to extend his contract at the club, as Ole hints.
Ole Gunner Solskjaer is hoping that Manchester United can seal a new deal with Paul Pogba, despite speculations that the France international will leave the club.
According to Fabrizio Romano’s Twitter account, Manchester United boss said that they are going to try and keep the midfielder at the club and have opened talks with his agent to secure a new deal.
The 27 years old who joined United in 2016 has long ago refused to sign new contract and will see his current contract expire in June 2021. The midfielder once fell out of favour with the club, but due to recent developments, he seems happy and wants to play again.
With Bruno Fernandes arrival at the club, the team has been doing so well, drawing only two premier league games and not losing none. The players, including Pogba seems happy playing for the club again, and can see him extend his contract.
Recently, the France international made known of how good a player Bruno is and is open to working with him in the club, if his agent agrees a deal with United.
Ole hinted on Pogba’s condition, saying.. “I can’t comment on discussions with players, but of course we want to keep the best players around the club”
He continued.. “We want to build a squad for the future. Scott [McTominay] and Nemanja [Matic] are similar in position but they are at different stages in their careers. One is at the start, one really experienced, and then we also need players in that mid-range group”
“Hopefully we can do something. I know that since Paul came back he is looking better and better, he is enjoying his football and let’s see where it takes us.”
So, Manchester United are hoping they will secure a new deal with Labile Pogba.
