Tottenham have decided to extend their relationship with their defender, Jan Vertonghen till 2020.
The Belgian joined Spurs in 2012 on a 12 million euros deal and has really been impressive for quite a long time now.
Spurs believes that an extension of the defender’s contract will be better than sourcing for a replacement considering the fact that the 31 year old is still equal to the task at the team.
The club recently disclosed on its twitter account that it has provided an contract extention option for the player. See twitt below.
The Club can confirm that we have activated the option to extend @JanVertonghen’s contract until 2020.
