MLS Side Montreal Impact names Thierry Henry as their new club manager.
After a troubled 20 games of shame under his managerial at AS Monaco, Thierry Henry gets another coaching job afterwards at Montreal Impact.
Through the club’s website, the president and CEO of Montreal Impact said; We are extremely happy to announce the nomination of this legend of the football game.
Henry will bring a new energy to our club.He shares our vision to elevate this club and will help us achieve our goals on and off the field.
He is a competitor and a leader who has proven himself at the highest level throughout his career. He now brings these qualities with him to Montreal, a place he wants to be.
Henry, a world glorified football hero, a legend of Arsenal and a part of Arsenal invincible crew for 2003/04 premier league season also a Barcelona legend and an UEFA champions league winner still seeks for a better managerial career after taking a quick coaching job for Arsenal’s academy following his retirement in 2014 and an assistant coach for Belgium under Roberto Martinez.
He spent four months at french ligue 1 team AS Monaco after Leonardo Jardim was sacked in October 2018 and he left in january 2019 over a gloryless tenure of 20 games and just 4 wins .
Montreal Impact, finished 9th in the Eastern Conference in 2019 and will play in the 2020 CONCACAF champions league.
