Tuchel named the duo as he most relied stars as the side prepare to take on Crystal Palace
Chelsea will face off Crystal Palace tomorrow after seeing a super bounce back to winning ways during their clash with FC Porto after a disgraceful loss to West Bromwich Albion a week ago.
Tuchel is known for his ability to switch squad members over and over but it appears two names in the current squad have already won the manager’s heart with their performance.
Blues secured a relaxing 2-0 victory against FC Porto on Wednesday night with Jorginho named the man of the match.
Tuchel was after the game full of praise for the Italian alongside his midfield partner, Mateo Kovacic.
The duo have seen starting games under then new manager and produced impressive results.
Speaking after the game, Tuchel said; ‘Yeah they worked hard – this is very reliable with the two guys.
‘Very reliable all the time, they were very helpful in the build-up and then in the second half I could feel their presence a little bit more.
‘You know Kova is always a hard worker, he sometimes suffers a little bit in the precision of his offensive passes because he works so hard and is a big, big helper for everybody.
‘Jorgi is a bit more the strategic guy who helps us in the build-up and he makes good decisions and helps us to escape the pressure.
