The Frenchman was subbed off Leicester City clash after revealing he could injure if he had continued
Tuchel during his press conference today has provided an update on his midfield pillar, N’Golo Kante.
Chelsea managed to sneak into the top four zone despite having suffered defeat to Aston Villa on the final day of the 2021/2021 season.
Kante missed the action as Tuchel started with a midfield of Jorginho plus Kovacic which didn’t turn out how he expected.
Blues still have one more important game to end their season as this could make the season a very successful one for Tuchel who could be lifting Chelsea’s second UEFA champions league trophy of the lifetime.
They have already beaten Manchester City twice and need to repeat the feat on the 29th of May to lift the trophy.
But just like Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez had said, the past two games doesn’t hand Chelsea a psychological advantage over the Premier League champions.
Kante has mostly been the best performer in their current UCL run after winning man of the match consecutively against Real Madrid in the semi finals stage.
Having him back to squad will help bolster the side against Pep Guardiola’s men and Tuchel did reveal during his press conference today that the World cup winner could be in action on 29th of May.
“With N’Golo nothing has changed. I think about changing my tactics now and stop asking about N’Golo. I’ll just put him on the pitch in Wednesday training and don’t ask anymore.
“If there are any problems we will just put him in training and put him on the pitch when the game starts on Saturday.
“Maybe I won’t start to the doctors and physios so I don’t hear doubts or complaints or nothing. Maybe I have to think about the tactics. It looks good and I hope it stays like this.”
