Just right after PSG Coupe de la Ligue final victory against Lyon, Thomas Tuchel is angered by reporters’ question about his side’s low scoring games.

Thomas Tuchel has reacted furiously towards reporters asking after his side’s lack of goals as he states he isn’t concerned about the reduced number of goals so far as his side ends the season victorious.

PSG were crowned champions after their 6-5 penalty shootout victory against Olympique Lyonnais on Friday, adding the Coupe de la Ligue to their list of trophies but reporters still believed the side were kind of under performing in the past season.

Likely to be due to Kylian Mbappe’s absence, PSG struggled to net a goal in the final as both sides missed plenty of chances, warranting to the penalty shootout that had the Parisians win by 1 goal lead.

“So, what’s the big deal,” Tuchel said to reporters.

“Yes, we’re still lucky. You can write it down. It’s the only thing, we’re lucky. That’s the way it is, no quality, only luck.

“It’s football. It’s football. It’s only football.

“Do you know the result of Liverpool against Barcelona in Barcelona [when Liverpool lost 3-0 in 2019]? How they played and then they won the Champions League. Give me a team that scores four or five goals in every match… it’s not possible.

“But you are always looking for something negative – 99 positive points but no, we’ll look for the 100th one which will be negative. We’re going to look for problems.

“There’s no problem, we won. I’m not going to apologise for this goal story. Since how many games have we had? No need to find excuses for that.”

Tuchel said he is proud of his squad after their latest successful campaign, adding: “They are reliable guys who play, enjoy working and suffering together.

“That makes me very happy. I am proud and happy.

“We did not lose the concentration, the hunger to win, the confidence, we won on penalties and that counts,” he said.

“We won these four titles, there is a good atmosphere in the locker room. And I’m very happy because everyone thinks it’s okay to win, but it’s not that easy.

“Winning four titles is the merit of this team and I am happy.”

Paris Saint German are yet to be eliminated out of the UEFA Champions League as they set to confront Italian side, Atlanta without Kylian Mbappe who sprained his ankle in the Coupe de France final.

The UCL is also considered to be a decision point for some reports stating the bosses at PSG will replace Tuchel with Allegri should PSG fail to life the UCL trophy this current campaign.
