Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly phoned Philippe Coutinho after rumors emerged of the Brazilian completing a loan move to Arsenal.
Coutinho is part of the names taking control of the last transfer days as Barcelona are looking to dispose him, with Arsenal been reported earlier by L’equipe to have been waiting to complete a loan move for the midfielder.
Arsenal has debunked a rumor linking them to Coutinho. Gunners are believed to never had been interested in the Brazilian as the likes of Ceballos joining the North London side eradicates any hunt for players with similar features.
Gunners are believed to be only interested in securing a Central Backman(CB) before the window shuts on Thursday.
According to ESPN, Tottenham at the other hand, are the club interested in having the Brazilian as they look for possible backbone to a shocking offer from Manchester United who looks to take away Christian Eriksen.
Tottenham are reportedly ready to splash the £80m price tag, although no formal offer has been made by the club but according to Skysports, Spurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino has phoned Coutinho so as to try to convince the Brazilian to reunite with him.

The manager looks forward for a reunion as he sets to manage the Brazilian who spent just few months under him while they were at Espanyol.
Coutinho’s rough days supposedly would come to an end if he returns to England, but only that joining Tottenham would mean he never loved Liverpool as much as he claimed.
Staying back at Camp Nou would mean him taking a huge pay cut while hoping for a swap deal to hold between him and Neymar who has remained the main focus of Barcelona since he disclosed he wants to return.
