Chelsea prepare to take on Tottenham with hopes of capitalizing on the Derby clash to progress towards the top 4
Tottenham go head to head with Thomas Tuchel‘s new side after coming off a loss against Brighton loss as they hope to get back to winning ways.
With the odds mostly in Chelsea’s favor, it’s speculated Jose Mourinho would rely on defensive play to get through today as fears of a third consecutive loss grow.
Kai Havertz and Kurt Zouma are the only players injured in Chelsea’s squad as Hakim Ziyech is back in the starting eleven after missing the previous clash due to Tuchel’s decision to rest the Moroccan who went games without rest under the previous manager.
Hudson-Odoi is known to be man for Tuchel’s right back option after having done lots of good work for the squad featuring from that zone.
Mason Mount is much likely to be picked for the center today alongside Hakim Ziyech or Jorginho with N’golo Kante doing the defensive jobs of the center.
Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger remain the option for the back with Zouma sidelined and Christensen yet to star under the new manager.
Timo Werner hopes to find his scoring form soon with Tuchel ready to back him to fitness. Tammy Abraham will likely start ahead of the German as Marcos Alonso strikes from the left wing.
Predicted Line-up: Mendy; Marcos Alonso, Thiago Silva, Rudiger, Azpilicueta; Kante, Kovacic, Mount; Pulisic, Abraham, Hudson-Odoi.
