Arsenal are in the market searching for a new back up left back to compete with Scotland international Kieran Tierney.
With Kolasinac set to leave at the end of the season, the gunners are definitely going to need a new backup and according to reports, Ryan Bertrand is on Arsenal‘s list.
Ryan Bertrand confirmed himself that he will be leaving Southampton at the end of the season.
‘After many months of hard decision making, I have decided to leave Southampton Football Club,’ Bertrand told his followers on social media.
‘This has only been decided in the last 48 hours and comments that I had not accepted an offer previously are not true.
‘I want to thank all the fans for welcoming me to this football club and supporting me endlessly.
All the support staff behind the scenes, I thank you. ‘Also, special thanks to the Liebherr family.’ He added.
Arsenal and Leicester are believed to be the two clubs at the front in the race for Ryan Bertrand’s signature and will offer the defender a deal to join them.
However, it is now been reported in a potential transfer blow to Arsenal that Leicester are close to signing the 31 year old on a free.
Somotosports understands that the Foxes are poised to offer Bertrand a one-year contract.
