Rafael Varane has finally spoken out on reports linking him with a move away from madrid, as he prepares for the Euros.
Real Madrid defender, Rafael Varane has spoken for the first time after reports linking him to the premier league broke out.
The 27-year-old, who joined moved to the bernabeu from Lyon in the summer of 2011 has been link to several English clubs in recent weeks.
The report gained substance when the player’s representatives were sported in London earlier this month.
United are heavily interested in the player as they look for a competent partner to captain, Harry Maguire.
The club chiefs are said to be to do whatever it takes to bring the world champion to the old Trafford.
Chelsea are also rumoured to be eyeing the player as they look to replace ageing Thiago Silva and have identified the experienced defender as his replacement.
Rafael Varane, who’s is currently on National duties as he prepares for the Euros with ‘les bleus‘ when quizzed on his future said;
This is not the time to talk about my future. I am focused on the selection, on this Euro,”
“It is normal and logical to ask the question and for my part, it is normal and logical to focus on the upcoming deadlines.
“We are all human beings. We can think about it. As for my personal case, I am focused on the objectives that we have in the France team, it is not a subject that I will discuss every day in my room at Clairefontaine.
“I am focused on my goal, and now is not the time to discuss it. If I have to talk about it, it will be directly with the people concerned.”
