Chelsea icon, Frank Lebeouf has raised concerns over the disappointing start to life in West London for former Leverkusen man Kai Havertz

The 21-year-old has thus far been underwhelming for the Blues since his record landing at Stamford Bridge this summer transfer window with series of shambolic outings.

With concerns mounting on the German’s odds at adapting to the high tempo synonymous with the premier league, Lebeouf has called out the decision to sign the left-footed midfielder with Hakim Ziyech already acquired.

Conversing with TeamSport on the midfielder’s protracting adjustment to his Blues career, Lebeouf disclosed his displeasure at Havertz form with Chelsea.

“It’s not easy to play in the premier league, you just have give extra energy at all time” Lebeouf said.

“We could have sort a natural right-flank winger and let Ziyech take on the number 10 role”

“He did very well in the position for Ajax. I think he’s more creative at number 10 than the flanks”

“With Havertz we don’t know how long its going to take to see glimpse of his play in the Bundesliga”

“I think we know what the problem is. He’s got to give more energy, this is the premier league, nothing less is required. ” Lebeouf concluded.

Recall the 21-year-old also fell under severe criticisms from both supporters and legends of the West Londoners after an Abysmal showoff at Wolverhampton a week ago.

Havertz will be in contention tomorrow when Chelsea tackle Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium for a renewed arch-rivalry after a resounding Monday night win over West Ham at Stamford Bridge.
