Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has charged his lads for hunger, character and respect ahead of their crucial encounter tonight against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium.
The English manager was clearly unsatisfied with his team’s performance days ago at Goodison Park, particularly citing their inability to create chances on the night.
Ahead of tonight’s clash, the 42-year-old called on improved outing from his lads.
According to Lampard, the Blues have to show hunger for victory, plus more character against the Wanderers.
“We have to get back to winning ways, its important for our development as a team” Lampard told BT Sports earlier today.
“There wasn’t the hunger to take maximum points on Saturday, we’ve got to show more of that, more character going back and forth”
“I think we’re quite prepared for tonight, we know how crucial every game is this season, we have to take on every game with the right mentality”
“Wolves are still one of the toughest side in the league. We need to show respect to their consistency for years in the league”
“We try to enter every game with a balanced team, especially against a team as balanced like Wolves. Like i said, every match in the league is crucial this season and i know the players are aware of this” The Blues boss concluded.
Chelsea are hoping to begin another spell of stunning results tonight after ending their 17 match unbeaten spell last Saturday to Everton.
