The Blues have recorded their best performance since December as Spurs leave Stamford Bridge without a point.

Chelsea are now 4 points clear the Northerners who are likely to go down to the 7th position, should Sheffield United and Manchester United win their games today.

Oliver Giroud opened the score line early before the 20th minute, minutes into the second phase of the game, Marcos Alonso converted Ross Barkley’s pass, putting his side 2 goals ahead.

A possible red card would have been awarded against Le Celso after a rough tackle on Cesar Azpilicueta but the Referee says otherwise and we could see Frank Lampard all over the fourth Referee protesting.

Jose Mourinho clearly didn’t get what he expected as the fans at Stamford Bridge revealed to him, that he has lost his place as the Special One with their chants all over the Stadium.

Loftus-Cheek is yet to feature for the Blues upon his injury recovery and didn’t get a chance against Spurs as Frank decided just two changes is all he needs.

Tammy Abraham for Giroud and William for Barkley, while Jose pulled Ndombele to install Lamela after the new signing delayed to fire a shot which would have likely resulted to a goal, although he was hunting for a penalty which was in turn far-fetched.

Dele Alli started from the bench, substituting new signing, Bergwijn and Serge Aurier for Alderweireld but all wasn’t that much felt as Spurs still lost the game despite late own goal from Anthony Rudiger.

Now 6 points behind Leicester City who sits at the 3rd place preparing to battle Manchester City as they hope to close the gap between them and the defending champions.

High hopes still on Jose Mourinho who hasn’t lost focus of the top four race as he also hopes for Manchester City’s UEFA Champions league ban to be upheld in order to assure he gets a spot in the next season Champions league campaign even if he doesn’t make it into the top four and as well loses the current campaign.
